About the Position
Our rapidly growing team is looking for an App Development Lead to drive the technical direction and team performance of our iOS and Android native development practice.
We're looking for a seasoned mobile engineer who can balance leadership (80%) with hands-on contribution (20%), shaping architecture decisions while growing a high-performing team.
You will report to the Tech Lead and be responsible for delivery excellence, technical standards, and team development across multiple client and internal products.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the iOS and Android development team, fostering technical growth and accountability.
Define and enforce mobile architecture standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
Own technical decisions for mobile products, including system design and scalability.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Designers, and Backend teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Conduct code reviews and ensure quality across both platforms.
Contribute hands-on to complex features, critical bugs, or architectural work when needed.
Drive hiring, onboarding, and performance management for mobile engineers.
Stay current with iOS and Android ecosystem changes, evaluating new tools and frameworks.
Manage technical debt and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support estimation, planning, and technical feasibility assessments.
Skills
5+ years in native mobile development with proven leadership experience.
Expert-level proficiency in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
Strong system design and architecture skills for mobile applications.
Experience building and scaling mobile apps with large user bases.
Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing strategies, and release management.
Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Bonus Points
Experience in Fintech or financial services.
Published apps with significant scale or complexity.
Experience with cross-functional team leadership.
Contributions to open-source mobile projects.
